The more things change, the more they stay the same.
This sentiment rang especially true for Androscoggin. Last year brought about many changes for our organization, including a new look, invigorated mission and vision, and a refreshed name: Androscoggin Home Healthcare and Hospice.
After months of research and collaboration with patients, partners, donors, and community members, we unveiled a refreshed Androscoggin brand and deepened commitment to be Maine’s largest, independent, non-profit home healthcare and hospice provider delivering innovative, high quality, and deeply compassionate health care to all of those in need.
We know the focus should be on health – not illness. Androscoggin clinicians help people – from infancy to end of life – thrive and maximize their independence by providing in-home skilled medical attention and state-of-the-art solutions needed to achieve personal health goals.
We’re an organization with heart. That’s what sets us apart and why you choose to generously support us. We never turn away a qualified patient because of an inability to pay, and as a non-profit we rely heavily on the support of our many donors and community partners to meet this mission. Last year, we provided more than $1.1 million in free care to help nearly 600 patients in the nine counties we serve.
The purpose of this Community Benefit Report is to first and foremost thank you, our donors, for your generosity, as well as share with you what your support has helped us to achieve for patients in your community. I truly believe we have some of the most compassionate and caring clinical staff you’ll ever find, paired with incredibly selfless volunteers and strong, mission-driven leadership. This combined with your selfless support ensures Androscoggin is well poised for continued success.
