Androscoggin Home Healthcare + Hospice is pleased to offer Health Insurance Coverage through an Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement (ICHRA). An ICHRA is a new and innovative way for Androscoggin Home Healthcare + Hospice to offer health insurance to our employees and their eligible dependents. Annually, Androscoggin Home Healthcare + Hospice sets the amounts we will reimburse employees (based on employment status, age, and geographic location) for individual coverage purchased by our employees. We have partnered with SureCo to administer the ICHRA plan.

A health savings account (HSA) is a medical, pre-tax benefit savings account that can be used with qualified high deductible health plans (HDHP). To have an HSA, you must be enrolled in an HSA compatible plan (please be sure to confirm this with SureCo and you must not be covered by Medicare (or any other Non-QHDHP).

Androscoggin Home Healthcare + Hospice allows employees to set up an HSA account at the financial institution of your choice.

Androscoggin Home HealthCare + Hospice is about living! Our tagline is “for Health. for Life.” Providing care at end-of-life is important for our patients and their families. We know that our staff may also experience the need to be with, and care for, a family member. Our End-of-Life Care Leave provides time for our staff to be with their loved one during end-of-life moments.

  • All regular part-time and full-time employees are eligible to request End-of-Life Care Leave of up to 12 weeks.

Androscoggin Home Healthcare + Hospice understands that the death of a loved one is often unexpected, and taking time to grieve is important for the health and well-being of the individual employee. 3 days pro-rated based on regular status hours may be paid upon the death of an immediate family member. 1 day pro-rated based on regular status hours may be paid upon the death of a loved one that falls outside the immediate family.

Higher education is necessary for some disciplines and a goal for others. In either case, the cost of education can be daunting. Androscoggin understands this and has set up funds to assist and support our staff in their educational pursuits.

At Androscoggin, continuing education is important for our staff and clinicians to stay up to date with training, techniques, and general information. We support payment for job related educational workshops based on status and paid time to attend.

Ensuring that our leaders have the tools, resources and knowledge they need to be successful is vital to the success of our teams. Androscoggin meets this priority in the following ways:

  • All-staff orientation and preceptor for clinical staff
  • Dedicated clinical staff educators
  • Online Learning Modules for general and role specific education
  • Monthly Management Day
  • New Leader Mentoring
