Jessica Butler
Physical Therapist

I have been with Androscoggin Home Healthcare + and Hospice for seven years. Previously, I provided care at a small hospital with inpatient and outpatient services. I came to Androscoggin because I was interested in having the ability to work one-on-one with the patient and/or their family, in their own home, and show them how to use their own equipment. With home care, I can take care of some of the vulnerable people in our community, allowing them to thrive at home.

The flexibility that home care offers cannot be matched by anyone else. Androscoggin allows me to make appointments for my family without needing to take an entire day off. It means I can care for my family and myself, as well as my patients. I have autonomy and the ability to treat patients the way that they need so they can remain home. I had a patient once who needed equipment desperately. I was able to call my colleagues and they were able to help me find what I needed. Things like that have helped me develop more confidence in my independent skills. While there are not often other clinicians in the home, there is always someone a phone call away.

Androscoggin Home Healthcare and Hospice is a place that values each employee and their individual passions. They value each employee’s individual experience and how that contributes to the organization as a whole.
