Grief Group Descriptions:
Restorative Retelling Grief Group –
Every Tuesday from September 3, 2024 – November 5, 2024 (10-week Adult Grief Group) Time: 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Location: Andwell Health Partners, 15 Strawberry Ave, Lewiston, ME 04240
Meeting Room Location: Conference Room A
Join us for our upcoming Restorative Retelling Grief Support Group for adults who are experiencing traumatic grief. This group is to support those who are navigating their grief as a result of a loved one’s sudden, traumatic, or unexpected death (Due to homicide, overdose, suicide, motor vehicle accident, Death with Dignity (DWD), or medical event).
This Restorative Retelling grief group is offered to individuals who have lost a loved one who was on Andwell Hospice services and for individuals in the community.
There is no charge to participate.
Partner Loss Grief Group
Every Wednesday from September 4, 2024 – October 9, 2024 (6-week Adult Grief Group)
Time: 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM
Location: Andwell Health Partners, 15 Strawberry Ave, Lewiston, ME 04240
Meeting Room Location: Oxford Conference Room
Partner Loss is a support group for individuals who have lost a spouse, fiancé, or significant other. The loss of a life partner can cause many changes and bring up many questions. Comfort can be found when you know that you are not alone in your struggles. Having an opportunity to tell your story is an important part of your grief process.
Partner Loss can be attended without prior group work. However, interested participants may want to attend Guidance through Grief prior to attending this group. This group is offered to individuals who lost a partner on services with Andwell Hospice, as well as individuals in the community. There is no charge to participate.
Guidance Through Grief Group
Every Thursday from September 5, 2024 – October 24, 2024 (8-week Adult Grief Group)
Time: 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM
Location: Andwell Health Partners, 15 Strawberry Ave, Lewiston, ME 04240
Meeting Room Location: Cumberland Conference Room
Andwell Hospice believes all people deserve access to services that can enhance one’s quality of life after the loss of a loved one. Guidance Through Grief is offered to support individuals through the grieving process.
This general grief group is offered to individuals who are family members of an Andwell hospice patient as well as members of the community. There is no charge to participate.
Guidance Through Grief: Getting Through the Holiday Season
Every Monday from October 28, 2024 – December 16, 2024 (8-week- Adult Grief Group)
Time: 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM
Location: Andwell Hospice House, 236 Stetson Road, Auburn, ME 04210
Andwell Hospice is offering a grief group with the understanding of how difficult the holiday season can be for those who are grieving.
Our hope is that spending some time with others who understand what you may be experiencing will be helpful, regardless of what holiday you observe.
