Guidance Through Grief (8-week Adult General Grief Groups)

 

In-Person Group:

Program will be offered weekly beginning Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 12:00-1:30 pm at Androscoggin’s Lewiston Office at 15 Strawberry Avenue.

Healing Hearts Grief Support Group:

Healing Hearts is a creative support circle for those affected by loss. The written word can be a useful method to explore feelings and experiences, discover meaning, and find a way forward. This group will utilize quotes, poems, discussion questions, and writing activities as a way to understand and process loss, strengthen our inner resources, and nourish our heart.

8 week group beginning  Wednesday, January 10 from 3:00 – 4:30 pm

Partner Loss Grief Group:

 This support group provides a safe space for people who have lost a partner or spouse to connect with others who have had a similar experience.

Restorative Retelling Grief Support Group (Adult Family Members Suffering from Traumatic Grief):

Join us at our upcoming Restorative Retelling Grief Support Group for adult family members and friends suffering from traumatic grief. This group is for those navigating their grief as a result of a loved one’s sudden death due to homicide, overdose, suicide, motor vehicle accident, or medical event.

10 week group beginning  Tuesday, March 19 from 5:30 – 7:00 pm

Poetry as a Path to Wellness

You are invited to engage with a small group of participants in a facilitated creative circle to experience this empowering gift of poetry. Poetry as a Tool for Wellness provides a means connect to ourselves, our world, and to one another through our words. Weekly sessions will explore themes designed to nourish well-being and wholeness through guided quotes, poems, discussion questions, writing activities and sharing.
